Job Description
Vendor Development
- Leading vendor development for Frozen Fruit Products/Spices and Ready-to-Serve products
- Building relationships with suppliers and customers, as well as ensuring products are profitable
- Maintaining commercial viability with suppliers
Product Manufacturing
- Developing the manufacturing processes for current and new fruit /vegetables and drink products
- Checking and improving quality control procedures in your own and suppliers’ factories, from the raw material stage through to the finished product
- Selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers
- Liaising and cooperating with technical and commercial colleagues in procurement, sales and technical services, and marketing and distribution, and also with official food inspection and hygiene agencies (this takes up a considerable proportion of time on the manufacturing side)
- Developing the ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency and safety
- Maintaining strict quality control
- Maintaining and monitoring the plant HACCP system
New Product Development
- Working on newly discovered ingredients and technologies to invent products and concepts, as well as modify foods to create, for example, organic products and ready meals
- Conducting experiments and producing sample products, as well as designing the processes
- Researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts
